If you or someone you know is the victim of a dog bite or dog attack, the owner of the dog is legally responsible for any harm this attack may have caused. In Connecticut, the history of the dog, good or bad, is not a factor and the owner is completely liable for any damages. If the dog has in any way caused you harm or injury, you may be entitled to compensation.
Occasions when the owner may not be liable are in the occurrences where the victim was intentionally teasing the animal or trespassing on private property.
